Organisation match ratings

Dyst

Clear standings after every game.

Competitive organisation match tracking with automatic team and member-lane ratings — so the board stays fair without spreadsheet maths.

  • Team fingerprints + member lanes
  • Append-only match history
  • Permission bits, not skill

How it works

From the first invite to an honest board

Three steps. No spreadsheet, no hand-edited ranks, no overall player number pretending to be skill.

  1. 01

    Gather the organisation

Create a home for one activity, invite the people you play with, and keep permissions on membership — not on skill.

  2. 02

    Record what happened

Log 1v1, 2v2, uneven lineups, or N-way games. Scores become win, lose, or draw. The history is append-only.

  3. 03

    Read the board

TrueSkill updates team cards and member lanes from symmetric games. Standings move after every effective result — no hand-edited ranks.

The same cards you will use after sign-in

North Table is a story organisation. The cards below are the live app components — the numbers are illustrative.

Groups as home base

One group is one activity pool in v1. Invites, matches, and rankings all live here — this is the same group card you see on the app home.

Membership

Invites and permission bits

Permission bits sit on membership, never on skill. Owner is non-delegable. The badges on these member cards are the same ones you will see in the group.

Match history

Record matches of any shape

Any number of competing fingerprints can sit in one result. Scores collapse to win, lose, or draw — no margin math, no placement column. These are the match cards from history.

  • League night

    11 – 7

    • Alpha 11
    • Solo 7

Alpha took the table. This uneven 2v1 stays in history; symmetric games move the ratings.

  • Three-way

    12 – 9 – 9

    • Solo 12
    • Beta pair 9
    • Night shift 9

Mixed roster sizes are recorded; the projector skips them for μ/σ updates.

Ratings

Team fingerprints and member lanes

Team cards track duo and pair strength from head-to-head games. Member lanes track how good you are in each symmetric shape — 2v2 and 2v2v2 stay separate. Memberships carry permissions only; there is no blended overall member score.

The board

Standings that stay honest

Team leaderboards sort lineup fingerprints by μ. Member leaderboards sort players within a chosen lane. After a match lands, the projector replays effective history — no hand-edited ranks.

Append-only

Corrections without rewriting history

You never reverse TrueSkill in place. A bad result is tombstoned; a correction is a new fact. The projector skips the tombstone on the next full replay.

tombstoned

11 – 5

  • Solo 11
  • Alpha 5

Wrong score entered. Tombstoned — the projector skips it on replay.

Over time

How a team card moved

μ over time for one team fingerprint. Member lanes get the same kind of chart per shape — the points here are a story for Alpha.
